I Miss You
2 December, 2004
Author: Moonstarshine
The night lamp still on
throwing shadows upon the wall
laying silent
I recall
the things
in my mind
trying to find
a glimpse of his face
feeling
his warm embrace
as his palm
touches my cheek
the assurance that I seek
from his touch
when he says;
"honey, I'll miss you so much"
I look back into his soft eyes
see all the love
that lies there
just for me.
clinging to these thoughts
I close my eyes
longing for him
to be back home
to me.
