One Note

The world is a big place
And I try to do my bit.
The part I play may be one candle -
I can but try to keep it lit.
The thing that makes a difference
Is the love I have for you.
You’ve got my vote, my single note
That makes my song sing true.
I pray for peace on earth
And the love that will keep us free.
I am but one person to the world
But you are the world to me.
