Tunnel Vision
4 December, 2004

vinebar

I drank the cup in front of me
And felt the poison dribble down
It crossed my lip and hit my chin
Then I realized: You are the devil’s son

Each word from your mouth is tainted
I’m just a stubborn pawn in the act
For you threw away a living history
And became more than a killing machine

I never said I would die and wait forever
But all the wounds will never scar
With hot cheeks set in flames
I am hallucinating once again

Rambling on about our time
I told you off and said goodbye
It was just a single crack in the path
No longer a need to raise my hope
