He wasn’t a high school graduate
He wasn’t an idol teen either
But this young man grew up fast,
and became one hell of a fireman.
He may have been reluctant, but
soon he learned his life belonged there.
He didn’t live a real long life, but
still…he touched many.
Boltz was a man of many wise cracks
And Boltz was a man who knew the best way to live.
Boltz was a man who would always be there
Boltz is a man who still is here.

------- Author's Notes -------

I wrote this poem so people would understand how much of a great man Boltz really was. The news of his death went nation wide, He was the Upper Darby Firefighter who drown at the New Jersey Shore and was found four days later. He was a great guy and this poem describes him to the "T". He wasn't afraid of ANYTHING and I, someday will be as great of a firefighter as he was, after all I learned everything from him.

RIP Lt. Kevin “Boltz” Collins
