Waiting At Home
10 December, 2004
author: Rebecca Ditch-Hammack (aka Dreamer)
Surely you know my lonliness
As I sit once again here alone
It is exciting for a while
But "alone time" loses it's flavor fast
I find it getting harder
To get up each and every day
Nothing to look forward to
Nothing to tell you about when you call
I put on the facade of a smile
Sure things are alright
Nothing is happening
So I slip silently into a dark place
How much longer will it be this time
Till you are again in my arms
How long will our togetherness last
Till the search for the almighty dollar again takes you away
So here I sit in the quietness
Where white noise fills the space
Turning on my favorite music
As yet another day alone, I embrace
