Always
13 December, 2004
Author: Clive B Ringshall
We both worked hard to build our home,
We worked so hard to get it right,
Together we came soon as one,
Then as intended we had another,
She came to conquer the world we thought,
She started with our living room,
Many smiles followed as she took those steps,
First teeth I still have the scar to show,
Another then followed without a plan,
Just like the first we had so much fun,
Nights awake listening to them breath,
Nights awake watching them teeth,
Days we’d play and they grew too soon,
Babies we had but that was long ago,
All grown today and out of school,
Living their lives with children of their own,
There both coming home with families of their own,
Another seven to feed, and call our own,
As I hold your hand I feel that love,
The love that I felt when us two first met,
I love you for being just you,
I love you for making me true,
I love you for the children we made,
I love you forever and always.
