Journey Into Sky-blue Eyes
20 December, 2004
Author: Eryemil
I've been trying to find those sea-clear eyes,
Which I've seen in a dream, and long to know again;
Along the eternal shore trying to meet his gaze,
I've been chasing forever, through forever’s maze.
I watch from the shoreline his receding form,
As he swims away into the ocean's blue;
I alone remain to embrace the jealous storm,
For I could never swim between his love and you.
Wherever he has been I've always gone,
Where he has slept I've dreamed, I've cried,
I've always been one step behind his kiss,
And I may never reach him, though I've tried.
Yet even though the journey is long;
At the end of my path into those blue eyes,
He awaits me there with open arms, I know,
And when he looks at me, I see the sky.
