24 Hours

Author: Your Melody
I've smiled all day
laughed and had a good time
I went to practice
only to be shown I wasn't good enough
Music lessons were hell too
the tempo's too slow
my intonation's bad
I left in a daze with tears on my cheeks
Tonight in bed
my thoughts wander back
to a time way back before
when my memories didn't haunt me
My alarm goes off
and I see the days first light
Crying in the midnight shadows seems so far away
But now it's morning
and I've seen that reassuring light
