Shattered
30 December, 2004

shattered
is how the world looks
when you have been crying
for three hours straight

shattered
is how i felt
when you grabbed my arm
and told me that i was crazy

shattered
is my childhood
filled with incest and
the lack of stability

shattered
is the sound
the empty Absolut bottle makes
when you throw it against the wall

shattered
is how i feel inside
knowing that you
might be dying on me

shattered
is my heart
because i long
to be loved the right way

shattered
is my life
everytime i pick up the pieces
i lose the grip again

shattered
is my hope
maybe sometimes
i ask for too much

shattered
is all
that i will
ever be
