as I sat on the floor
looking through snap shots of you and I
I couldn't help
cry tears for the past

everything we did
we did in love
everything we were
we were of love
every moment we lived
we lived for love
every time we touched
we touched with love
everytime we loved
we love deep
with love

you and i were love

I can remember
like it was just yesterday
but in reality it was
yesteryear

the time you put into our marriage
the time you put in us
by making room and time for me
even upon your dying day

so many memories
so many things that I will never forget
especially you sweetheart
your heart i will always remember
and the most precious gifts
you gave to me
that carry on your name

everytime it rains it reminds me of you
everytime it is spring time I think of you
every snowflake that falls
I think of that little cabin off by itself

every sunset every sunrise
everybody knows I'll be thinking of you
everything reminds me of you
cause you taught me everything new

these snapshots seem to bring you back to life
snap shots that only i will see
because they were made for you and me...
and thats why I love sitting upon the floor
reminiscing my precious time with you

even if is of time gone by
I love to feel your soul
i know your no longer there
but your love will always remain
and live deep in my heart
i feel you wrap your heart around me

as I sit there alone and cry

the rain softly came pouring down got to feeling lonely during the holidays. our favorite time of year reminiscing and re-living one cannot give up on thoughts of their first-love(especially when you marry them and death takes them away)
