A Fallen World
6 January, 2005
Author: Laura
In the darkness I sit, a place at the bottom of a pit.
Afraid to look into the light, scared I might lose sight.
It is strange to know that a simple knife can take a life.
This world is filling up with so much despair, becoming so corrupt.
Too many people do not care, they just want to give up.
It is sad to see people fighting so hard to put up their guard.
Full of so much hate, their vision to blurred to see their own fate.
Being so held back, everyone wanting to crack.
We are told how to act, how to live, and how to treat each other.
Everyone has their own identity, so why does anyone try to bother.
Open Pandora’s box to wind up all the clocks.
When one laughs everyone laughs. When one cries, one cries alone.
It is sad but true something becoming too widely known
I hope it wasn’t me who ignited a storm of controversy.
About who you are and what you want to be.
You can liquefy my thoughts, but you cannot break my barrier.
I won’t get caught because you are the one feeling inferior.
I tried becoming different from everyone, a little unique.
I have tried so long, and now I have become morally weak.
------- Author's Notes -------
Life has many changing moments, some that dont change that need it the most. It is hard to put into words, but when you have strong enough feelings, the words just come to mind. |
