My Nights Tears

I cry at night
Hoping that no one hears
Praying my breath is light
That I have silent tears
I cry at night
When I feel most alone
When I can see myself a child
Though I am mostly grown
The night envelopes me
It takes me by the hand
Lets me weep in it's embrace
Because it understands
These tears I cry
Fall deep into the night
Burn through my pillow
And set themselves aflight
These tears I cry
I know where they travel to
They sit at the windows of your heart
For they belong to you
