That Faze
9 January, 2005
Author: Ben Franklin
The school got in touch
the other day,
they are concerned about my son's
grades,
and wondering why a 14year old still does not know how to
behave.
I dont appreciate what they have to say,
but he's my son,
of course im going to back him up in every single way.
I have to admit,
he has not been himself lately,
but I suppose its the teenage way
that at least one point in his life he has to tell me he hates me.
His mum and I had to split up 2years ago,
everytime we would argue
his tears would flow.
He still see's her every other week,
she tells me when he arives
all he wants to do is weep.
The past couple of months
he has been comming home and his eyes are so
glazed,
I try and get a sentence out of him
but he's to dazed!
I know he is smoking dope,
it seems to be the craze,
but he's a teenager,
he's just going through that
faze,.........right?

Terrie* (65.135.86.21) -- Sunday, January 9 2005, 06:31 am truth in what you write. i think all parents have been through it. it helped that i came down to their level and became one of them all over again. that was when i understood what it meant to be a real parent. i was always open for discussion yet i gave them space my fears passed me by my kids are beyond that age. but over all we learn by making mistakes..sometimes facing the consequences of our decisions are what make us strong and wise i'm still learning so you know i'm constantly making mistakes. great job |
