Marionette
10 January, 2005
Author: Silent Witness
I'm your marionette
A mere puppet on a string
A worn and tattered little rag doll
The one you use
When you need comfort
The end is always the same
You use me to ease your fears
To erase your pain
To be your illusion
Of perfection
The mask that hides your
Broken existence and my haunted life
Then you toss me away
Broken and scorned
Bleeding and bruised
Twisted with the pain
Knowing that you
Will always be my puppeteer
