Blood On The Snow
11 January, 2005
Author: RubyDragon
Staring at the blood on the snow
that poured from my burning eyes,
heart broken in a thousand pieces
and still no-one hears my cries,
right through the blackened sky I have been calling
now I am tired and on my knees, the snow falling,
The night turns against me, like the day
my clothes torn and tattering,
my eyes and heart bleeding
and my spirit shattering,
nothing left, no reason to live
but still, I will not give,
Beaten, destroyed, ripped, burnt
my heart has taken it all,
my body is scarred and torn
and still the snow falls,
trying to ris to my feet
then the snow turns to sleet,
holding myself I limp along
not knowing where I head,
frozen so much I am numb
and my soul is almost dead,
only adrenalin is left with pain
the colour of night begins to rain,
I'm not gonna lay down and die
but I don't know what I am doing,
or where I am anymore
I just keep on moving, and moving,
then suddenly I fall down
lay on my back on the snowy ground,
rain showering on my face, cold
looking upto the sky for a star,
for just a glimmer of hope to shine
until now I just wandered, unknown how far?,
the clouds begin to clear
I feel the warmth of another tear,
Closing my eyes, so tight
so hard to keep awake,
my heart slows down
unsure how much more I can take,
I see her in my dreams, been so long,
telling me where I'm going wrong,
been so many years since
the last time she came to me,
nice to remember again
can she help me back to reality?,
I wake in the cosiness of my bed
with a memory of the thoughts she said,
telling me she's real and her I must find
and leave all anguish behind,
just find the path to my true destiny
the question is where and who IS she?
