Words Can't Describe How I Feel

As I piece words together to try and explain my mind
It dawns on me, I will feel this way for a very long time..
It's not an emotion created overnight
It spreads more and more at the passing of each day's light
A friend's concern brings a small smile to my face
But it's a different friend I want to have in their place,
The one I thought I could always count on
Is now the reason in which these feelings are drawn..
Why does it feel as if no-one can relate?
I don't think it's possible for anyone to feel the same way
These emotions have now become a part of my life
Causing me pain, sadness and rarely delight..
My emotional boundaries have long fallen down
Overflowing inside, slowly causing me to drown,
Every word and action now seem to be out of my control
I struggle to breath as my feelings take hold..
The question is now, how long will it last?
Will I let go? Or will my feelings be a thing of the past?
