Accept Me
20 January, 2005
Author: Dimples
Everybody is different
Special in their own way
Each person is unique
I know it sounds clichéd
Why am I treated so coolly?
Why won’t you accept me
Why can’t you see I’m different?
I’m not strange, don’t you see
Please accept me for who I am
Because I’m not going to change
I like myself, and to me, that’s what matters
So it’s your problem if you find me strange
If you think about it in a roundabout way
I could see you as strange and different too
But it’s a personal thing,
And we can’t affect each other’s views
So all I have to say is
If you cant accept me, that’s not my fault
I tried to show it to you through my eyes
And if I failed its only you who loses out!
