This Crazy Love
20 January, 2005
Author: Dimples
This love is crazy, it’s so wrong
I cry myself to sleep at night
How can I love someone but despise them
Something here just isn’t right
I don’t know what I see in you
I thought I knew what’s best
I was sure I could avoid this pain
But you lured me into your net
What is it about you that stays in my mind?
These thoughts of you drive me insane
I thought I had this under control
I’m setting myself up for pain
You are so beautiful, but that means nothing to me
Cause you are so different underneath
I can’t figure you out, you are a mystery
What do you hide, where the eye can’t see?
You’re a charmer, but deceitful
You flatter yet you deride
You gorgeous on the surface
But you are corroded inside
Pretense and deception, now it’s clear
It was all one big charade
But you stumbled and I saw inside
You couldn’t keep up your facade
Thought I could trust myself, thought I was fine
Then I followed my heart,
Looking back, that was my fall
Should have know it from the start
Gotta follow my head not my heart
A heart is unreliable,
It’s swayed by a pretty face
That is undeniable
Gotta use my common sense
When it comes to this crazy love, you gotta be smart
Now I know, but it’s too late
You are a heartbreaker, gonna break my heart
