Do You Hear Me?
20 January, 2005
Author: Dimples
Do you hear me?
Crying out
My voice bounces back at me
Echoing in the darkness
Help me
My fingers dig into
The edge I cling to
Desperately clawing to save myself
But I can’t do it alone
Alone, I am alone
I have fallen hard
Tripped and fallen
Headfirst
Into this yawning chasm
This never ending pit of despair
But I must hold on
Hold out
Do you hear me?
Do you hear my cries?
I am on the edge
About to fall
Down
Down
Save me
Pull me out
Into the light
Do you hear me
Please rescue me
I need you
I alone am not enough to save myself
Do you hear me?
I need you to pull me up
I need your reassurance
That I am loved
And wanted
So I can step out,
Out into the light.
