Broken

The bathroom floor needs tiling
We need to plumb the loo
The windows need repainting
But ‘Darling’ I have you
The kitchen needs new cupboards
The lounge needs curtains too
The patio needs a good scrub
But at least ‘love’ I have you
The back door needs a coat of paint
The chimney a new flue
The plastering re-pointing
But ‘Sweetness’ I have you
The carpets need replacing
We could do with sheets of new
We need some extra bed linen
But ‘Lover’ I have you
The leg fell off the bed last night
The man said I could sue
The mirror cracked on my bedside
But ‘Baby’ I have you
The grass needs cutting badly
The whole lawns covered in poo
The flower beds need weeding
But ‘Lighthouse’ I have you
The light bulbs need to be changed
They’re the ones that can unscrew
The shade in the spare room has broken
But ‘darling lover’ I have you
I think the house is falling down
Its getting twists and curves
In fact my ‘darling lover’
Its you that’s getting on my nerves!
