Blame
25 January, 2005
Author: Shaz
Are you proud of me now, now I'm a drunk?
Are you happy myself I slaughter?
You tell all your friends about me, I think
Did you tell them I was your daughter?
Are you proud of me now I must be the best?
Are you chuffed I left school without?
Did I make your heart swell failing that test?
Did you call all the neighbors and shout?
Are you proud of me now I’ve joined a club?
Are you happy I’ve admitted my failings?
Did I make you look bad with friends at the pub?
While you watched me go over the railings
Did you watch me throw up all night long?
Did you see me fall over and stumble?
Did you ever think you could be wrong?
Did you not maybe hear a slight mumble?
Your friends did they say? “Wow she’s never glum”
“You must be so proud of your star”
Were you happy when I collected you Mum?
Drove your friends while drunk in my car
Are you proud of me now what do you see?
What the fuck were you and Dad thinking?
Did you know the life you presented me with?
Drove me to incessant drinking
So I’m well on the mend I've sorted my self
So what I don’t have that degree
I’ve put the addiction back on the shelf
I’m proud, so proud of me
You know what there is something I missed
And this is the hardest to claim
I’ve learnt the reason why I got pissed
At my feet lays all the blame
