Salvation Upon A Phone Line

Black fingernails and shaking hands
pop another hill and cut out my heart
to my insanitys demand
Hello my darling
What happened to our destiny
Remember you promised youd be the one to save me
from my family
Tomorrows waiting
But tell the rest of humanity
im not sure if they're going to again see me
tell tomorrow
that i might just run to deaths arms
and hide in the shadows
alone
with a phone suppressed upon my broken bones
waiting for you to lay
me in my grave
let them bury me so that the dirt
gentally wraps me
so when my body decays
into the forgotten dirt for an enternity
I can pretend that the earth is your arms holding me
And let the letter i write be placed beyond my chest
and let it be read
"I'm sorry mother I did my best
in the stail air
I cried out to the heavens but no one replied
im quiet sure that god no longer cares,
and one more thing, tell my love
I'm sorry darling, I waited there
leaning with my fragile skin clinging
to the phone
waiting for the one voice the only thing
that would be capable of fixing me,
but dont worry love,it wasnt your fault
I couldnt be saved not this time
only death arms, could wash away my agony and doubt"
