I Love You
27 January, 2005
Author: Webster
I'm not so wise when it comes to love,
I'm not so brave when push comes to shove.
I just wanted to talk, but you cut me off at the pass,
You told me to walk, that I had no class.
I didn’t lie when I told you I loved you,
The dream that I dreamed was really true.
I thought when we met that you'd be impressed
If I opened my heart and all of the rest.
I didn’t lie when I told you I loved you.
My past is just like it seemed.
My color is red, just as I said,
I'm a real honest person,
You know what I mean.
When I whispered, "I love you",
I know that you heard.
I didn't suspect that
You doubted my words
I didn’t lie when I told you I need you,
The truth will come out somehow.
I didn’t lie when I told you I love you
And baby, I love you now.
