No Difference At All
29 January, 2005
Author: Terrie*
the difference in our poetry
stands unguarded and no difference at all
except for the signature
and insignia of our hearts
we all see with our hearts
we touch with our souls
breathe with our minds
to be unique
carries many roles and rules
I am unique
because I am
unusual
please don't ask the man that I love
he may just make you believe
that I am strange a bit Karazee and bazzare
I'll admit I am semi-sorta hard to understand
now take my man for instance
he is unique
because to me he is one of a kind
he has wisdom and the man savvys all
my dad always said
it would take a special man to understand
my reckless confusing heart
that demanded space and love
99% of the time
and he better be wise
believe me
it took God 13 years to find this man...
what can I say..
what a girl wants ..
what a girl needs
a woman automatically gets..
some men are in big demand
so it is my belief
that we scatter
our own images in what we perceive
of oneself and as different yet
to those that see into our souls
that carry our hearts
but over all we are still as individual
as the person you love and look up to
we are all incredible and unique
I believe that to be true
of you you and you !!!
do you not believe??
told ya I was unusual
if you understood a word I just said
then I must've really gotten to you..
when I speak or write I make a person think
while they scratch their head
my voice whispers softly in the wind
but I speak loudly with a pen
