Remember That Song, Wasted Away, In Margaritaville?
28 January, 2005
Author: ShyHeart
We set on the porch swing, watching, the fire flies
On and Off, then, back again, I bent over, you asked?
What is wrong? I replied, I’m trying to catch my breath
She, replied, I thought, that was you, And I, thought it was you
Getting wasted, watching fire flies, that fart, in the evening sky
Again, I bend over, to catch my breath. She says are you all right?
I reply, I think, I’ll call it a night, one more Fart from a fire-fly
I think, I will, be dead, did you hear that one? do you smell that?
She, helped me up, opened the front door, as we walked inside
The sky, lit up, every fire fly on earth, must have opened up
Butane tanks for a hundred miles, were, filled up, and the warmth
We all shared, came from one summer night, filled with Fire-Flies
“Remember That Song, Wasted Away, In Margaritaville?”
