2005 And
30 January, 2005
Author: Ben Franklin
Lots of people with enough to give,
but not giving anything at all,
you have money flowing out of your
ears,
a percentage of that money could dry up
so many tears,
2005-and we still have third world countries
struggling to stay alive,
2005-and the AIDS virus is still on the
rise,
not enough contraception,
it's like palying russian roulette,
a disease is the prize.
2005-and racism is still around,
still gods children cant get along on common
ground,
2005-and we still have wars,
babies being sent to the frontline
by goverment whores,
2005-and the elderly are being mugged,
they wish they could go back to their childhood,
when they just used to be hugged,
2005-and I think we need to look back,
gather the history and facts,
learn from our mistakes
and get this world back on track.

Meridian (172.170.188.18) -- Monday, January 31 2005, 06:47 pm I'm trying to gather my thoughts, because you just hit home, with a lot of FACTS not OPINIONS! Every new year we hope for the world to get better and better, but it's doing the opposite! All we can do is hope and pray, like we do every year! People have spoken out against injustice and unfairness toward the elderly involving social security, and other rights for them! All we can do is be a voice! Too bad we don't have any wands to zap our problems away! All we can do is pray! REMARKABLE POEM B! |

Terrie* (65.135.86.91) -- Tuesday, February 1 2005, 01:42 am couldn't agree w/you more hun, we must realize that there are many that donate what they consider spare change for a tax write off..what we fail to see is that those that are deserving of it do not see anything that was suppose to benefit them...so it is back to where they were.. one of Mother Teresa's famous quotes was" if you can not afford to feed 100 people then feed just one"".....your words touch the sky...i can tell you are a caring individual ...thanx for placing the problems of the world upon your shoulders ....a mum hoping and praying along side of you for the same..Terrie* |
