This Little Place We Call Home...
1 February, 2005
Author: Terrie*
this little house
a humble little place
known to us as home
many moments of laughter
all our happy times were found
never a dull moment
always an embracing sound
the music in my windchimes chiming
the door bell ringing away
the train whistle blowing
our puppies barking while at play
all a lived in happy sound to me
I can embrace all the sweet memories
even if it was for such a short time
whether we stay or move away
every night
our spirits will share
by blowing a kiss and
saying good night
when the household lays down
this little humble house
known to us
and all whom entered as a home
many moments of silence
when we were away at work
our little home became empty
but filled with our love
that stayed behind
in all the woodwork
