Is Your Answer No?
4 February, 2005
Author: The Lost Girl
Do you notice your best friends arm?
Wouldn't you notice the constant scars?
They're screaming red and crying out,
You would notice them, right, without a doubt?
If you noticed the hurting lines,
wouldn't you stop and ask them why?
If right now, your answer is no,
think again, or your letting go.
Letting go of care for your friend,
because the next day their life might end.
If you didn't help their sorrow,
that friend of yours may not see tomorrow.
I beg of you to be a better friend than mine,
and don't just ignore their signs.
You were assigned by God to that friend,
To help them heal, and help them mend.
Please tell that you care,
and let them know your always there.
------- Author's Notes -------
Another poem asking people to help their friends when they see they have a problem. I know firsthand what it's like for your friends to pretend everything is okay. God Bless. |

KitKatrina (68.189.39.167) -- Saturday, March 19 2005, 01:41 am I have a younger friend who is 14, 2 1/2 years younger than me. In ways she looks up to me, and I love that. Then one day I saw her arms, she had at least 100 scars on each arm going up to her elbow. I tried talking to her, but she won't listen, and I was worried. This encourages me to talk to her, because I love her to death. So thanks, even though this was written for me. Great poems |
