Same Old Sad Story
4 February, 2005
Author: Emilee
Did I really think,
that this would work out?
That you would love me,
that I would be all you dreamed about.
I guessed I should have known better.
How could I really think you and I would be forever?
It's the same old, same old
sad sad story again.
You don't love me like that.
And it's the same old sad sad story,
you just wanna be friends, nothing more.
And it's the same old, same old,
sad sad story again.
Why did I lay,
my heart on the line?
Just to hear you say,
it won't work out this time.
I will shed no tears, at least not today.
How can I hold you here, when you've already flown away.
It's the same old, same old
sad sad story again.
You don't love me like that.
And it's the same old sad sad story,
you just wanna be friends, nothing more.
And it's the same old, same old,
sad sad story again.
I know I'll be okay.
I will be just fine,
I'm just sick of hearing
that same stupid line.
But it's the same old, same old
sad sad story again.
You don't love me like that.
And it's the same old sad sad story,
you just wanna be friends, nothing more.
And it's the same old, same old,
sad sad story again.
