And Off Came The Rose-tinted Glasses
8 February, 2005
Author: Mike
A stream of black flowing through my veins.
My heroes, my idols, all but slain.
No one left to look up to,
With no one to talk to, what can I do?
They don't give a sh*t, they never did.
It's all I can do to keep my tears hid.
I've finally awoken, can finally see
The truth those damn glasses kept hidden from me.
The real world is not how I first thought -
A net in which only happiness is caught.
The real world is a dark, evil place
Where hurtful words are like a slap in the face.
Well f*** this world and everything in it.
The light in my eyes remains unlit.
For all I care, they can go die.
Run away, spread my wings and fly.
