Letting Go
12 July, 2003
Author: Charmaine
Move on they told me,
It's time to let go.
I tried to listen,
But my heart refused.
I held onto the memories,
Trying to keep them alive.
Cuz if I moved on,
The memories might disappear.
Do you know just how much, I long for your return.
Awaiting patiently for that day to come.
Though I know you won't turn back,
I've never lost hope.
I'll continue to wait,
This is my vow to you,
And I'll keep to my promise.
