Beneath These Sleeves

Pain is hidden behind this smile and agony is no where shown on this face
To you it seems my life is PERFECT and like a puzzle it falls into place
SHE'S SO BEAUTIFUL AND SHE'S GOT A HEART OF GOLD
But not even beauty can help me escape this so brace yourself or take a firm hold
If perfection is portrayed by me then it does not exist
Sunshine does not follow me everywhere I live in dark mist
I have cut to release the pain just like any other would
I'm sorry i can't control it although I wish i could
If it seems to you that by looking in the mirror my pain somehow leaves
Then STOP thinking and prepare your eyes to see whats hidden underneath THESE sleeves

Girl

You did a wonderful job on this poem! I like when you use "ALL CAPS" on some of your words, to capture the readers attention. It really caught mine. I love your atomic bomb poem! Hope one day you'll cease cutting altogether! *Meri*
