Lost Soul

The night wind blew...
fiercely stinging my mind.
Ripping my heart right
from my chest.
Chasing me deep into the
depths of darkness.
Alone, I am... lost,
and betrayed.
Isolated from what once
made me smile.
Happiness stolen right
from my arms... taken to
a place unknown.
Now I dream only dreams
of what I once knew.
I've been left out in
this icy cold wind...
scarred with pain.
Trying to return to my
safe haven, but impossible
when everything you hold
dear has been snatched away.
The price of punishment!
A soul to be tormented,
and abandoned.
My wings now broken...
a life shattered, and
tears fall in a down pour.
Filling the ground to
overflowing... a river
for one more Lost Soul.
