The Dust
19 February, 2005
Author: Dino Hi
From start to finish, place me in a shaker
As you go, sprinkle here and there and far
I am one, with the desert wind and dust
Now, I will be the wind on your back
I will be with you, the dust you breath
I will ride with you, The dust on your face
For I am, the dust
As you start, The cloud of dust will be so thick
Have no fear, for I surround you
I am part of you, as you breath the dust
I will be the wind, to clear the way
To push you, to the very end
From start to finish, I'm watching you
For I am, the dust
When you cross, that finish line
Remember, the many years and memories
And as you look out, across the desert
Seeing the wind, blow the dust away
I will be gone, but I will always be part of you
Wipe the dust, off your face
You see! I was riding with you
For I am now, the dust

Meridian (172.164.184.111) -- Saturday, February 19 2005, 06:53 pm I can visualize you, Dino Hi, taking on the form of sand or dust if you will, encompassing an individual. Like in the movie, "The Mummy", where Imotep, causes a sandstorm, and tries to cover O'Connell and Winston, while they were flying in the plane trying to get away, I can see you doing the same! Your poem is very visual, like virtue reality! Perfect job! *Meri* |
Dino (64.12.116.197) -- Monday, February 21 2005, 06:49 am Thanks Meridian for the nice comment. Ya, I seen that movie, "The Mummy." That was quite a dust storm. Anyway, thanks for reading and commenting on my poem. The dust is now gone--See ya! |
