I Wish..

I wish I were a bird, flying way up high,
I'd take my fears and leave them in the sky.
I wish I were a snake, crawling on the ground,
I'd swallow my tears back to where they'd never be found.

I wish I were a bee, working steadily.
My mind off my sorrow, concentrating busily.
I wish I were an ant, too small to see,
Too small to shout at, the blows not reaching me.

I wish I were a dog, down on all fours.
I'd run away, my worries behind closed doors.
I wish I were a cat, as independant as can be.
I wish I were anyone, anyone but me.

I've read your work, I'm sorry you are so sad and feel so bad about yourself. You seem to be a very good writer, that you should be proud of.
