Hope For A Place Like This
22 February, 2005
Author: Scurrd
Float in an ether
I’ve never felt better
So calm and serene
Things are what they seem
Hope isn’t a dream
So happy here
No drugs or beer
No fire to seer
Just a calm silence
You have no alliance
But to the hope
That this place
Isn’t a joke
And that you’ll never have to go
To that place
Where everyone’s in your face
Where you must keep up the pace
Of an ever changing life
Such a demanding society
No one to confide
They have no loyalty
All so fake
Shallow
No more I can take
I let go
The darkness swallows
