A Spoken Heart

There's just to much in mind to sleep tonight
It's such a fright to close my eyes
Restless hours are keeping days combind
As I lay thinking about our place in time
I need to say what is on my mind
Before it slips to far behind
Before I waiste another night
Before I taste the tears in line
My soul is burning deep within
To speak what's underneath my skin
Console the moment, wear it thin
I'm going to tell you everything
I'm scared to open up and trust
Is this fear enough to break us up?
Here, I tear to show you, Love
In all my years, I've never felt this much
I know I might not show it
Becuase I can't go on without your touch
And I need you to know it
Before emotions start to close up
The unclear future always fades
To make the moments in a day
And as I stand here with our fate
I know I just can't walk away
So, Now you know, I'm scared to try
I know you're going to ask me why
Along another place in time
You saved me from a singled life
Before you, life was mangled, unkind
Before you, I stood barely alive
My heart's been tangled by family life
I can't explain the pain and strife
And now I stand here, heart in hand
Scared to bare it all again
But now it's out there, fear and all it's in
Now that I've shared, let's start again
