Such A Simple Task
28 February, 2005
Author: Ben Franklin
Yet another human has been needlessly
killed,
a knife to his chest,
life flashing before his eyes,
his fate sealed.
He didnt have many friends,
he could count them on one hand,
he was content with his life,
though others thought it was bland.
Kids on his estate would always shout words
of hate,
they thought he was a freak because he didnt like
to stand on corners starting fights and
staying out late.
He didnt need to stand on corners
and take drugs and alcohol to have
fun,
his Love and priorities were at home,
his Brother,
Dad and
Mum,
but just the other day they sent him down the
shops to buy a loaf of bread,
his parents never thought such a simple task
would leave their son
dead.
------- Author's Notes -------
I wrote this today after hearing that a 19year old boy around the corner from me had been stabbed to death. |
