Will you be at my funeral?
Will you be at my wake?
Will you stand at the back softly thinking?
Will you come and weep for my sake

Will you wonder why I am gone now?
Will you think what you could have done?
Will you say anything to the weeping?
Or will you be there just for fun

Will it be a relief when they burn me?
Will you sigh and say to yourself
“There goes a problem of mine”
Get happiness back on your shelf

Will you go for tea with the vicar?
Will you chat and talk about me
Will you say “Yes I tried to help her?”
And “Yes I’ll have some more tea”

Will you go home thinking about me
Will you care enough to shed tears?
Or carry on cooking supper
Have a glass of wine and some beers

Will I be written down as a failure?
Will I be noted and seen
Will anyone care if I'm not there?
Someone else where I’ve been

Did on life I make an impact
Will anyone change when ‘I’m dead?
Or I am just being arrogant
And really I followed not lead?
