I Am, The Smile
2 March, 2005
Author: ShyHeart
I am the smile, upon the mother's face, as she holds, her first child
I am the hand that says, pardon me, go ahead, I am the hand that helps
An elderly lady, board the bus, I do it all, as I feel, my heart smile
I am the sun, that lights up, a darkened room, so full of pain, til now
I am the shadows, I see at night, as they close in on me and I shake
Until, I realize, my heart's smile, can send them all, back to hell
I am the words you never heard, but, always dreamed of, to yourself
I am the touch you never felt, until you opened up your heart, now awake
Reach inside of yourself, Captain Kid, never found such a treasuer
As you hide from yourself, yet, not buried deep, but just out of reach
Until you reach and see, the smile upon a mother's face as she holds
Her first child, or help an elderlyy lady, board the bus, you are the treasure
