My Dear Issa
12 June, 2000
Author: Christa
Lately we've been reverting back to how we used to be
Best friends we were forever, together you and me
This is partially a result of a friendship taken away
She stopped talking and hanging out, with nothing left to say
So I dried my tears and shook off the hurt and realized this was good
You and I hadn't been talking, but I knew if I tried, we could
Now look where we stand, we're back to where we were
I've found that our friendship is truly special, one of a kind, I'm sure
Just know that you can talk to me, through your pain and through your tears
Whether it's your parents, Donny, or stress, don't ever forget I'm here
I want you to know you can count on me when you're feeling down and out
Because, my friend, in case you don't know, that's what friendship's all about
So hopefully our friendship will only grow stronger over time
And when I think of my best friend, I'll be able to say you're mine
When I've had a problem or been sad, to me you've always stayed true
And for that, my dear Issa, remember, I love you...
