Let Me Be
8 March, 2005
Author: Mike
Why can't you accept
That I'm different from all of you?
I do not want to do
Everything you want me to.
I have my own life to live.
You have yours to run.
Let me have mine all to myself,
Just leave me alone!
Let me wear my black
And my face make up.
Let me do what I want
And keep your damn mouth shut!
This is me, its who I am,
I won't change for you.
Leave me the f**k alone
And I'll leave you too.
------- Author's Notes -------
Not one of my strongest poems, but I feel it gets my point across.. |
