Finally
9 March, 2005
Author: Mike
I thought my memories had all but gone,
Searching my mind I find I was wrong.
What will it take to forget everything?
What can I do to get rid of these feelings?
Slicing my skin relieves the pain,
Only for it to return the next day.
The mask I wear is slowly slipping,
From happy to sad my face keeps flipping.
I know what I must do, but its too hard.
The pain in my heart feels like shards
Of glass, ripping me apart from the inside,
Tearing away my happy facade.
The time has come, it seems to me,
To get away from reality.
A smile on my face as I pick up the knife.
Holding my hand out, taking my own life.
