Figurative Minds

Perception
Not always what it seems in itself;
A withered flower, representing love
And a tear shed out of ecstasy, not grief
Silence that is not awkward
Darkness that is not threatening...
Seeing with our eyes and senses
And yet we are blind;
To the underlying meaning of all things in life.
