To My Mom
12 June, 2000
Author: Christa
I know I don't often tell you
how much you mean to me
So I'm writing you this poem
in hopes that you will see
Through every situation
the good ones and the bad
You were there beside me
and for that I'm glad
You are so giving of yourself
when others need a friend
If someone needs your help
you have a hand to lend
Sometimes you get stressed out
while trying to please everyone
You just need to sit down
and have a little fun
And I know that you get mad
when I don't listen to what you say
But I'm just being a teenager
I still love you anyway
Don't ever forget I am glad
that you are my mom
And I guess to use some slang
I think you are the bomb!
And when will my love end?
The day that I call "never"
Because you are my mommy
and I'll love you for forever...
