Questionable Friendship
12 May, 2000
Author: Christa
Once upon a time
you were my one best friend
We were buds forever
our friendship had no end
Over about a month
and two weeks on top of that
We stopped talking to each other
and by the phone I sat
I waited for your phone call
for you to tell me what's going on
It took me awhile to realize
that you were close to gone
I don't know what has happened
why you went your separate way
I wish that you would come back
"We're still best friends," you'd say
And if you decide to call me
and talk to me one day
You'll realize that over time
I've had a lot to say
So now I've told you how I feel
and I hope our paths soon cross
But if not, then I guess it's true
You were a friend, now lost.
