Shadow, On The Wall
12 March, 2005
Author: ShyHeart
No word is ever spoken, but the shadow, that she sees, tells..., it all
Little secrets that she kept, like the perfume, she didn't use in her purse
The shadow, tells everything, wake up, look at the shadow, on the wall
Pull the silk sheets down, what do you see, A Mercedes Benz, in the garage
Yes, you use the perfume, that you hide, in your purse, but, you, don't need it
Sunrises, have seldom ever shown, upon such, a woman's beauty, as you own
Yet, you see, it comes back to haunt you, as a shadow, on the wall, all alone
To young, to old, all, before your time, your love, taken advantage of
Now, as you try to sleep alone, you wake up, no one is there, for you
You are home, by yourself, and all you see, is the shadow, on the wall
Whatever happened to me, my beauty gave, me everything, now, I am
Nothing more, than my memories, hollow, like the shadow on the wall
