Everything I Couldn't See
14 March, 2005
Author: Emilee
When I look into your eyes,
I can't believe what I have missed.
How did I not realize,
you would give me a love like this.
You found me,
when I was broken.
How did you see,
the words I'd spoken?
You lifted me up,
gave me wings to fly.
When I'd had enough,
you didn't let me cry.
Just when I thought,
I was nothing special.
You held me tight,
and made me feel beautiful.
You looked at me,
when I wasn't looking.
Saw what nobody could see,
thought what nobody was thinking.
I wish I could,
turn back time.
I would run to you,
and call you mine.
But now I know,
you were always there.
It just goes to show,
someone's always out there.
I just can't explain,
the love that you give to me.
I can make it through the day,
just knowing that it's you I'll see.
I love it that you love me,
for everything I am.
You would never try to change me,
you just wanna take my hand.
And everything I have,
I would give it all to you.
Just to hear you say,
I love you too.
Now I know I can,
be whatever I want to be.
All because you became,
everything I couldn't see.
