If You Could Tell Me...

I went to your house today
But no one was there

I went to your room
It was empty

I went to the backyard
Your parents were there

-------

I saw your mom
She didn't say anything

I saw your dad
He didn't see me

I saw some cars
And your parents got up

--------

I followed them to their car
No one saw me get in

I followed them to the graveyard
No one saw me get out

I followed them to a grave
And I saw you!

---------

I asked you what was wrong
But you were silent

I said that I was here
You didn't know

I looked at the gravestone
I fell into horror

----------

I heard your gentle voice whisper:
'I have to go'

-----------

I saw you walk away
Why are you leaving?

I tried to follow
Out to the road

I saw a car coming
I looked away

------------

Suddenly your voice told me
"hello"

------- Author's Notes -------

this isnt a very good poem - it was made at school. but i got an award for it. i think it might make a good dark-rock song to depress you severely though.
