My Friend
15 March, 2005
Author: Franca Adah
Oh!Little Egret,as white as snow
Behold! great beauty of the acient days
Why haughty, why proud
If only you stretch out your wings
I shall give you my back to perch
Dear cow, large and big a friend
Friend to all, what shall I do
A loner I am
You shall be irritated and fed up
A friend I am not, If only you know
My feelings does not lie or speak evil
You are fragile, weak and confused
How long will it be?
Come, Open up your wings and fly
Fly and perch on my back for once
Why do you lure me on, oh Cow
Let my heart not decieve me
If only you let the rains flow by
Hearken to the rattling sound of thunder
And let my heart peace for a moment
Do not lie in distress and doom
My back I offer for safety
Give a trial,give a thought
Look neither at North,South, East nor West
All you need to do is watch at the heavens.
